From best-selling crime author James Patterson comes a new summer thriller written in collaboration with Mark Pearson.
As the title suggests, the story is of detective agency PRIVATE, this time centred around the London office... not the sparkliest of titles. It is certainly not Patterson's finest - the early books from the Cross series remain firm favourites - but it spins a decent yarn, perfectly pitched for the beach season. Indeed fear not if you can only get away for a few days: it reads quite fast, and demands very little brain power to follow the story, as the pages practically turn themselves. As most summer reads it entertains rather than provoke profound thoughts, which is just what's needed between dips in the pool.

Rubbish in cinemas

One of my pet peeves is litterbugs... - it's bad enough when a bunch of idiots dump their trash everywhere, but when you pay over £12 a head to sit amongst the spilt popcorn and discarded food & drink containers it really is aggravating. The culprit is CINEWORLD ENFIELD - this Saturday night, they felt it was appropriate to let the audience in to the screen for TRON 3D without having cleared the trash from the previous showing ... seriously unacceptable.

I'm waiting for comments from other cinema goers, and will gladly pass them on to Cineworld or other chains if you've had similar experiences!

Thankfully when I go to the cinema it's usually press screenings, and the studios tend to be meticulous about these... but it's not acceptable to have to put up with trash when you also have to pay for your ticket!!!!!
